Thinking about moving there and I'm nervous that the neighborhood might be kind of dangerous?

Opinions are greatly appreciated...

You should look at the Do I live in Clinton Hill section
    here's what I said there

I live in this so called Clinton Hill East/Bed-Stuy border and it's really not that bad. Sure the neigborhood has a stigma(Do or Die Bed Stuy) but it's come a long way. It is the hood but coming up espcially with Manhattan pricing folks out and the impending stadium... This summer saw the beauty of kids playing in Von King Park, music, dance , and theatre performances, and even the Brooklyn's Best Festival.

If you are nervous. Don't go. Your nervousness will cause you
more problems than anybody else will. People of all races can
sense apprehension and do not like it

you show fear, eventually you will get got.

Beautiful words sista. I love the park in the summer
Ain't nothing changed, it has always been that way

Incidents yes....but if you concentrate on 1 or 2 negative
incidents, instead of the 100 beautiful days then you probably
should not move there (like so many seem to want to do
    for some reason)

So true -- and nasty incidents happen in EVERY part of the city, not just the neighborhoods covered by this site. If everyone avoided neighborhoods based on occasional crimes, NYC would be completely empty.
