JAZZ Lounge Brooklyn NY

All must visit this upandcoming JAZZ lounge called Mitchell's Bar and Grill 259 Flatbush Ave Brooklyn. I've been there Th, Fri, and Sat since opening: They've featured musicians such as Dave Valentin, Paul Bollenback, Vince Senari, Odean Pope's Trio, Onaje Allan Gumbs' Group, Bradford Hayes, Ryan Keberle, and Leo Johnson just to name a few. Definitely the place to be if u wanna kick back,listen to great music, and have a fun time!

a couple hundred dollars worth of martinis and a reasonable cover charge thats my investment

It's a great room for music. However, the $25 min/$10 cover seems a little stiff for the groups this week( I went 9/20) The menu is limited featurning steaks and some seafood and middle east apps(humus,grape leaves etc) Since my interest is in the jazz and I'd rather eat elsewhere, I don't expect to go there often. I was a regular at the defunct Upover. Saturday for $40 my wife and I caught two sets at Barbes($20 for drinks and $20 donation.A much better deal.
