I believe they are remodelling...all the usual folks were in there late last night hauling out old shelves, etc...the lady at the counter sorta flirts with me on my beer/cigarette runs around the corner and if they were closing for good she would have definitely told me...

Saw the roll-down up yesterday morning and the place is completely gutted. I'm suprised too that they are moving out as I'm a regular and they didnt tell me anything nor did they have a "blowout" sale

Yelison closed because of a problem with the landlord, even though the family that owned the lease had a multi-year contract. I don't know if the landlord bought out the lease. Basically, I got the feeling that the landlord wants to change the businesses in all of his properties, and Yelison is only the beginning. I don't know what other property he owns, however. The former owners of Yelison and some of the other crew from the store are now at the store on the corner of Dean and Classon.

Oh! I was in there this afternoon and the new folks looked kind of familiar, but I didn't put two and two together. Thanks for the info!

The building has been for sale for a while but at a price that wasn't finding any takers. I don't know if this has anything to do with them closing but it's possible that it finally sold or that the owner thinks he can get more money with the space either vacant or with a new tenant paying market rent.

I noticed a "for rent" signed yesterday also on UnderHill between Sterling and St. Johns...I believe it was that former recording space...didn't look close enough to see if it's the same contact phone number as Yelison, but two "for rent" signs at the same time seems like a coincidence..

I thought that that store front was the video acrcade game place where you would see them at night fixing the boxes.
