nick cave serenade.
alafairnadia
if you heard, a bit earlier, a few people serenading someone with both the pj harvey and kylie minogue songs from nick cave's murder ballads album, that was mamacita and papi chulo. I'm so happy to have had some folks singing for my benefit in such a way. I attempted to jump in a few times but I've got a lousy voice. sigh. if only someone loved me enough to kill me with a rock.

Nick Cave is such a poseur.

For your mercy seat, stick with John Cash

doctorjOutrageous. Next you'll be extolling Little Eva's rip off of Kylie's Loco-Motion.

lilbangladeshJohnny Cash rocks! I went to one of his last concerts and it was so awesome. The audience was half geezers, half hipsters. heh.
It's so weird that Kylie Minogue and Nick Cave collaborated, considering that they were such different artists. I mean collaborating with PJ Harvey makes sense.
I was hoping someone would post a PJ Harvey link.
I love me some Polly Jean.
Alafair, I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to be serenaded. (But maybe not by rockwielding maniacs). -
alafairnadiaall of the murder ballads are pretty awesome, but the kylie and pj ones are the best, frankly. and I guess i am glad, in retrospect, that neither mamacita or papi chulo picked up a rock and killed me or tossed me down a well that's more than 100 feet.

Damn, I knew there was something I forgot to do last night!
Kidding! :P -
