Ugliest Buildings in NYC

I think a lot of you will recognize the building in the 4th photo:

i heard somebody bought the whole thing to convert to a single-family home...anyone know if that's true?

I've never ever understood that period of time when they built those strange brown buildings with no windows (NYU has one, and that Verizon one). I mean, who needs a luxury like WINDOWS? :roll: :idea:

the brown buildings without windows are line buildings that house phone lines and routers, not offices.

655 Washington Av (the one with the address written in a vertical stripe up the side) is one of the worst in our area...

It's the architectural equivalent of urban billboard clothing

is the fourth one the one in bburg that had a HUGE fire in it yesterday? so much smoke pouring out of it that it was actually terrifying.
