Is it just me?

For the last 3 days I have had a problem connecting to brooklynian.com. through Firefox. I get the following message

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

When I log on to AOL and connect that way it works? Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

i've been having the same Firefox vs. Brooklynian issues, too. i just assumed it was just problems with the site. are you saying that you think it's the browser - that's interesting....

Im not sure but I can connect to DailyHeights.com through Firefox but not Brooklynian and it only seems to be happening now at the office. (I was able to connect through Firefox from my home computer last night).

I've been having problems off and on, and I also assumed that it was the site. I'll switch from Firefox to IE next time and see if it makes a different. If I hit an extended outage. Most of the ones lately go away for me after hitting a refresh or two.

I tried the refresh thing but it still doesn't work. Im hoping this goes through because now it was telling me "Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form." when I was trying to respond

Try clearing out your private data in Firefox:

    1. Close all windows except for one, and set it to a neutral page (www.google.com)
    2. Go to Tools -> Clear Private Data... and make sure everything except saved passwords and cookies is checked.

I think the "invalid session" has to do with the last checkbox. The forbidden is related to your browser cache.

Thanks - I tried but it still will not work :( (it will not work with Firefox or IE) and when I connect through AOL - I have to hit submit about 15 times because I keep getting the message Invalid Session please resubmit the form

Im starting to take this personally :)

I've had a lot of issues with Firefox myself, with other sites, not just this one, so I only use it to do my banking. Most sites seems to work okay with Safari.

I've tried everything (everything above and more).
At home I get it, but at work, no use.

My IT guys looked into it. It's not on my side from what I know.

I'm having the same problem at work. I tried deleting all of my cached pages, and the history to see if that would work but no go.

I seem to recall daily heights posted a "how to access the board from work" post a while ago which was a way to get around firewalls. Figured I'd try that but I can't find the post. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open for all.

Did you try yelling at it?

I was noticing some weirdness, like imgs not showing up but since the latest move all seems good.

I actually have not had ANY trouble the last couple days, after having intermittent trouble for quite awhile. Know on wood. Dunno. Here is the post you were looking for, hope it helps...

btw, if anyone is still getting errors, reset your cache
    THEN caress, yell, rinse, repeat
