Dog Friendly Co-Ops hard to find?

My husband and I are looking to move to the Ditmas Park area this year and are looking to buy a 1 bedroom. The thing is we have 2 dogs.

We've found 1 option for a dog friendly 1bedroom that we are seriously considering, but I'm wondering if we need to look around a bit more.

The place we found is doable, but it's not our ideal (ie no common outdoor area, less then thrilling view out the windows, somewhat dark etc). But we also haven't seen very many places that take dogs.

So my question is, is it very hard to find a dog friendly building in Ditmas, or should we pounce on the one we've found? ;)

your hunch is not incorrect. it is already a small co-op market in ditmas, and not all buildings allow pets. i am looking for a co-op in ditmas, have 2 cats, and have found only 4 cats-allowed buildings -- and i think more than one of them does not accept dogs. your best bet would be to ask a local real estate agent to run through for you which buildings allow dogs and which don't. they would know and could save you the footwork.

My co-op is pet friendly; 570 Westminster and there are units available right now. The co-op on Ocean Parkway and Cortelyou is also pet friendly...I can't remember the exact address, but it has a canopied walkway and the back area is being fixed up to be a common garden space. It's the NE corner of that intersection.

570 Westminster is acually the place we are looking at! We're going to be putting an offer in first thing on Mon. on a one bedroom there, but I'm worried we might not get it! It's good to know theres another option just in case though!

How do you like Westminster? It really looks like a nice building, I'm afraid we'll be heartbroken if we don't get the place..... :(;)

    lberghol, I private messaged you.

570 Westminster units are freakin huge, which is a hard argument to top.
