turntables

Is there any place locally where I could find analog turntables, or better yet some sort of turntable expert? I have a project I'm working on where I need an LP to repeat over and over, and am a little stumped.

Plenty of places to find 'tables, but not too many 'tables with automatic arms...

Silly question - do you actually need the LP to repeat, or do you just need the music to repeat?

Need the LP to actually repeat. I'm looking at old 70s LP changers in Jersey this PM, and am going to try to rig them so they always think there's another record to drop. But I'd rather not go to Jersey.

Good luck! Auto-returns can be found fairly easily (not new), but I can't think of anything that will return and re-cue... well, on the same LP. If Jersey doesn't work out, you might be better off enlisting the help of someone good with motorized Lego systems and the like and MacGyvering a solution.

You'd have to look at the mechanism. It could be easy. For instance, on my old player (Sony, I think, 60s) it would be as easy as putting a piece of tape on the, uh, spindle so that it couldn't drop the next record. Put another record up top, and it would think it dropped it and keep playing the same one over and over again, since there would always be a "new" one to drop.
