I rode down 7th avenue on my way to work today, I noticed that the recently relatively recently renovated Katina Diner has a big PURITY sign on it.

I always doubt the things I see on my morning commutes. Anyone know the scoop? Is Purity moving or establishing a Purity Empire ?? muwaaahhahhahha!!!

Both are owned by same people, and even the one on Underhill and Dean st, Katina is the owners daughters name, Maybe they had a falling out?

    Subject: Old Purity>New Purity

When I first moved to the Slope in 1998, I visited the Purity Diner, which was on 7th Ave near Flatbush (maybe near Park Cafe?). After that meal, I vowed, "Never Again." It was dirty and depressing and overall sub-par. to my relief, it closed shortly after that. I was living on 14th St. at the time and bounced between Katina's and Donuts, neither of which was a huge step up. Then, all of a sudden and gleaming new Purity opened next the Methodist. What an improvement! I have mostly given up my Diner ways, but when I have a hankering, Purity of near the top of my list now. To me the biggest virtue of Katina’s was it’s proximity to my apartment, but that hasn’t been true for several years, so I never found real reason to return. Has it improved?

Have you tried the Grecian Corner Diner on Seventh Ave, I ate there twice and my hair was restored to it's original color.
