Does anyone have children that attend schools in FG/CH/BS? I'm curious to know likes/dislikes about the schools in the area.

Wow...noone w/ kids on this site that lives in ch/fg/bs? If you have kids that attend schools in neighborhoods other than the three named, let me know what lead to this decision.

hey there - my son attended public school in Prospect Heights. He started there in pre-k and just graduated 5th grade this past June. I'm not sure what you would like to know but I was very happy with his school. This had a lot to do with the teachers and administrators of the school who worked so hard not only in improving the school but pushing the children instead of accepting the old "this is the best I can do" excuse. If there is something specific you would like me to answer please let me know or you can PM me.

Subject: PS 11 in Clinton Hill

My child goes to PS 11. They got a new principal last year and she is really raising the bar. They should be having an open house soon.
The school has many programs coming in such as Mark Morris Dance, NY philharmonic, among many others. They just got a new program on human rights with Amnesty International. It is definitely a school in transition from a more traditional program to more of a mix of traditional & progressive. chec kout their web site:ps11brooklyn.org.

One of my daughters attends ps 11 and the other one graduated from there 2 years ago(my mother went there too!). I can't really say I have any complaints about the school judging by my childrens progress as far as academia is concerned. They've come across some good teachers.
