Anyone ever drive from the Heights to the Bronx Zoo? You go Triboro/Bruckner or Whitestone/Hutchinson?

I'd go Triboro as I've had some nasty waits on the Whitestone.

You could also take the FDR/Willis Ave and save the toll. Because you're going to be spending a bundle at the zoo.

Are you taking kids? It might be worth it to get a family membership at www.wcs.org $120 will get you a family membership that covers the bronx zoo, the aquarium, the prospect park zoo and the central park zoo. The bronx zoo for 2 adults and 2 kids will run you $44. The membership is mostly tax-deductable.

There are individual memberships as well.

$48, not $44 for 2+2. I recommend the premium membership, it will get you into the butterfly thing and the monorail and everything for free too, instead of having to pay $3-5/person a pop.
