politics in the heights

In one of the previous threads, somebody said that there would be lots of political activity in the neighborhood this fall. It was in a thread about socializing, so I got the impression that it meant some sort of mix between socializing and politics (eg, meeting in a bar to watch debates or other events and talk about the issues). Does anybody know anything about this? or want to start something?

This is the kind of thing I might like to do, since it would include three of my favorite things: politics, conversation, and beer. I did just become a father six weeks ago, so I am not sure what I could commit to, but if others posted something on DailyHeights, I might even bring my kid (strapped in a wrap).
