it's kinda like a smaller Union Hall from 5th av
it's a block away from me so it's in my best interest that it do well if i wanna keep tasty beer nearby
other than that i have no commercial interest

they also have a big-ass tv in the back. with futons and tables
it's great for like... watching the mlb playoffs
it'd be a perfect place for a movie night

    it's recommended
    anyways. here's their blog:

Cool, I'll check it out. It could be a windowless rubber room with those taps and be worth checking out.

Try The Gate at 5th ave and 3rd st. They change their taps every week and its always a wide, delicious variety of foreign or microbreweries. I'm always there at least once a week to check out the new stuff. You could really go there all the time and always be able to try something new.

    Best Taps in Brooklyn:

    Prospect Heights:
    Barrette (on Vanderbilt Avenue)

    Brooklyn Heights:
Waterfront Ale House (on Atlantic Avenue)
    Brazen Head

    Williamsburg:
    Barcade
    Mug's Ale House
    Spuyten Duyvel
    Spike Hill
    Radegast Hall

I used to love the Gate but I find that their tap selectino has been slipping of late. Too many boring things like Brooklyn Lager
