Are there any good, cheap, laid back bars around Ditmas Park, Kensington, Midwood?

On Cortelyou Road near Stratford Road, The Farm is a restaurant bar, and they have a great selection of beer. Also, Vox Pop across the street from The Farm serves beer. That's all I know of.

at east 7th and caton there is shenanigan's. definitely 'cheap.'

They ARE good, but hardly "laid back". We lost the last comfortable place when Cornerstone was shut down.

Speaking of which, does anyone have an update on what is going to happen with the building that once housed the Cornerstone Pub?

Yeah the scumbag landlord wants like $7000 a month. It will probably remain empty for a while. Just as will the vacant Flatbush Food Coop.

At least the Food Coop opened across the street in a much nicer place!
