locksmith

I'd like to get a deadbolt installed on my door (kind of silly that i haven't yet) and i haven't used any locksmiths in prospect heights while i've lived in the neighborhood for the past 2 years. i'm on washington, between park and prospect.
any recommendations for a good, honest locksmith?

Chris at Flatbush Hardware is the BEST locksmith around. I've used him many, many times, he's affordable and extremely experienced. He's actually coming over later today to my shop to install another lock.

I recently used the guys at AllStar - 284 Flatbush @ St. Mark's, 718.622.010 - and they were great. Joe was the owner and the guy he sent to me was prompt, competent and pleasant! He actually repaired my top lock for a nominal fee instead of trying to upsell me a whole new lock, and simply replaced the cylinder in my other lock. All very straightforward, no typical locksmith bs. It was the best (and cheapest) dealing I've had with a locksmith!

Yes! Highly recommended! I now have a lock on my formerly unlockable jewelry case.
