Hicks Street Stinks

Anyone know why Hicks St. between Montague and Pierrepont smells like a 1970's Central Park public toilet?

Oh yes. I used to live right around the corner there on Pierrepont and always found that stretch to be pretty nasty this time of year.

It's the Gingko trees that line the sidewalk there.
