a good alterations place person? tailoring

I am b/w 2 sizes and hence do not get proper fitting clothes- can anyone suggest a good person who can do alterations at a reasonable cost-
would be v grateful

    where do you live?

    there's a new tailor shop on PPW and 16th (near Farrell's). Not sure if she's any good as she just opened.

    i like using ms lee at lee's cleaner's on berkeley and 5th.

    even closer by, the cleaners on berkeley between 7th and 8th have always been good to me. they are really friendly and do high quality work, in my opinion.

    not bad prices either.

    i forget the name...mr g's? it's right behind mr. wonton...

    well, here's hoping she's good. i'll let you know.

    i brought in the dress i'm wearing to my brother's wedding, and the thing is vintage and about 7 sizes too big. the lovely polish woman, helen, pins the whole thing. tons of seams. says it will be $27. (it should be closer to $75...) so as i said, i'll let you know. but i liked her.
