the search didn't yield much, so i'm wondering if anyone has any insight on beginners' latin dance classes in this part of brooklyn...i'm looking for something low key, just to learn. looks like mark morris at BAM doesn't do latin dance, at least right now. thanks!

A friend of mine teaches Latin Dance on 5th ave near Union st. Her name is Desiree Dicupe and is an excellent dance instructor. You can also Google her name for more info. Heres her E Mail address if you're interested. [email hidden]

I saw a story on one of the news channels that the barber shop of Smith Street offers Latin dance classes after hours.

I've been told there is going to be a weekly latin dance show on CBS. It's being broadcast from Rikers Island and will be called
    "Dancing With The Perps."
Winners will qualify for the early release program.
