Rose Water; good, but S L O W

Being relatively new to PS, my fiancee and I got to try Rose Water last night. The food was delicious, the people were nice and the prices weren't too outrageous. But man...they were slow with a captial S. Has anyone else experienced this, or should I chalk this up to "out of the ordinary" for them? If this is how they normally roll, I don't know if I'd go back.

I don't think we ordered anything over the top, and we skipped portions. We were seated immediately, so no time spent waiting. We got an appetizer and an entree. But we didn't order wine, just water. And we skipped dessert. Yet we were still there for right around 2 hours. That seems crazy to me...but maybe I'm crazy. With no wait to be seated, just an appetizer and entree, no wine or dessert, I'd expect to be there about an hour to an hour and 15.

Are they normally this slow? Or are my timing expectations way off?

not in my experience, I've been there at least a half dozen times and never had a problem w/ slow service. hopefully it was an off night!
what did you have for entrees?

I ordered the pork loin, which came recommended. And my ladyfriend ordered fettucini. Maybe the pork took a long time?

I went once, perhaps a year and a half ago, and I think we we're there nearly 2 1/2 hours. To my mind Rose Water is on the slow side.

What's the seating like inside? How's the inside ambience?

It's very small, very quaint. Not the place to go if you want to sort of disappear. I'm not saying that's bad, btw. The lighting was dim, the seats comfortable. I thought it was charming. But definitely on the smaller side. The food was really good...I'd have just preferred to not have to wait so long for it.

I hope this doesn't end up sounding like I'm bashing the place 'cause I'm not. It was definitely a nice meal, albeit a slow one.
