Christmas Trees?

I'm new to the neighbourhood and since I finally have the space to put up a tree this year, I plan on doing so. However, it seems like there are no locations within walking distance of my new place (E 10th and Ave H). Recommendations? I don't really have the money to spend on ordering one from a service (the prices are outrageous) and I won't have a car for at least another month.

Thank you in advance for any ideas.

UPDATE:

The TrueValue Hardware Store near the Newkirk Avenue station on the Q/B line has trees out front, but they're dried out and none seem to be smaller than 7 feet. I really would like to put a tree up this year, but I refuse to put up a fire hazard. Any other locations in the general vicinity of Ave H/Coney Island?

On Ft. Hamilton Parkway, a local woman opened up a gift shop with great stuff by local artists. She is selling trees this weekend as well as wreaths and christmas trees out front (and free hot drinks inside).
Ft. Hamitlon Parkway between East 2nd and East third. You can then go two doors down to Thai Tonys and have lunch.
