Trees? Wreaths? Garland?

It's my first christmas in brooklyn, and I need all the trimmings, plus a big, fat, fresh tree. Are trees/wreaths/garland/boughs/holly available at the greenmarket (there wasn't anything there last week, but it was early)? Are there any other local places to buy fresh-cut stuff?

There's some Canadians who sell in front of the Key Food parking lot on 5th and Sackett (?) every year. They seem to have nice stuff.

Not sure what part of the slope you are in, but if you are south, checck out a place on Windsor Street just off PPW (towards 10th Ave....right near the F train entrance). I walked by yesterday and they weren't set up yet, but they seem to have decent stuff every year

But you can't trust them, with their floppy heads and their beady little eyes...

We have bought our trees and wreaths from the guys in front of the 5th Avenue Key Food for the last 4 years. We always get really nice stuff and their prices are good.

The place in front of CVS always seemed to be much more money than any of the other places around.

I bought my last two trees at the church on the corner of Carroll and 7th. As I recall, they charge about $50 for a 5-foot tree, and the trees held up well.

This year and two years ago we got one at the lot near Target (Flatbush at Pacific).

The cheapest this year were $25, which is what we got b/c we didn't want a huge tree. It's about 5 feet and lovely, but I'm not sure it's the freshest tree. It's nice an full now but is dropping just a few needles already. They have lots of sizes.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any place within short driving distance where you can cut your own fresh tree

The Vermonters are back on Union St (6/7 Aves), just down from the Coop.
Best-est, freshest. Not cheapest, but longlasting-est.
    :D

Isn't Xmas tree shopping mostly determined by relative proximity to where you live?
