Best internet deal in our area?

My boyfriend and I just moved to the border of Prospect Heights and Crown Heights (Washington Ave. near Eastern Parkway) and we're wondering what our internet/cable TV options are. (Internet is a must, but we'll only get TV if it's part of a discount package.)

Are there many options, or does Time Warner dominate? Thanks...

I think your only options are verizon DSL and cablevision. I use cablevision. it's not bad.

a couple of months ago cablevision put on a charge of web promo: broadband boost. it was $9.95 per month and they never told me they put it on until i noticed it and had been paying for it for like 4 months already.

    be careful of these dirtbags...

Do you already have/want a land line? Cablevision offers cable, internet, and phone service for a little over $90 a month. Though, as you might guess, when that offer ends (a year after signing up), your bill will increase by about $20 to $30.

I use Verizon. It's only $19 and it's completely reliable. My only "complaint" about it is that if you try to watch, say, "The Office" on your computer, it plays like a stop animation movie. But I guess that is what you get for $19!

Thanks everyone! It's too bad no one offers a TV and internet deal. Who needs a land line any more?
