doing a search on Brooklynian

Maybe it's just me, but ever since the new Google search is being used on the site, I can't find things I'm looking for! Now I love Google, but not on this site -- unless someone can tell me what it is I'm missing??

From what little I know:
We had a site meltdown months ago and all the cool stuff (cross posting/sneak peaks at topics) and the database of all old posts was lost/not able to be transfered to the new site. I think they're using a new web interface -phpBB- or something....
