i'm 27 and looking to take calculus (i have good reasons, i promise). where would someone living in the slope area and working near city hall/tribeca find such a class? community college or something else reasonably priced would be ideal. thanks!

    Going to graduate school?

I took calculus at a community college (in RI) when I needed it for architecture school.

    Kingsborough has a class.
    Mathematics and Computer Science Department

Brooklyn College undoubtedly has one too.

You could also try BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College- part of CUNY). Its right in the city hall neighborhood and they have a lot of evening classess.
