Alchemy

Went here for first time for brunch yesterday. Cool place. Food was pretty good. Nice beer selection. Would return.

A friend of a colleague of mine owns that place. I enjoyed it when I checked it out too. It has a nice vibe.

where is it? what type of food?

North of Prospect Place on 5th Avenue. I'd call it pub food. Atmosphere is pretty great actually, nice layout.

I like the place, too. it's upscale pub food (to borrow from i'x's description) -- but I hear their burger is amazing. I've mostly eaten pasta there (yeah, I have a pasta problem) and enjoyed it each time. also, their 'on tap' champagne is great. no need to deal with another lousy sauvignon blanc.

alchemy is still awesome! great place to warm up with an interesting bar crowd too.
