I asked my boss if we could have the day off, what with it being extra and all. While he didn't agree that we should get the day off, he was kind enough to offer a suggestion as to what to do with my extra day.

Apparently I'll be pissing up a rope.

i'm taking a personal day. that day is not supposed to be there! how can i be expected to work under such conditions??

I'm paying my rent a day later than I otherwise would have.

If that's not worth a holiday, I don't know what is.
