New Prospect cafe closed?

Anyone know what the deal is with the New Prospect Cafe on Flatbush, near Christie's? Maybe they are renovating but it sure looks like it's gone out of business. Shame if that's so - nothing special but a good,low-key, regular n'hood joint.

Back in the 90's New Prospect and The Garden Cafe were secret assets of Prospect Heights. Two star, four star restaurants respectively. NP had ups and downs in recent years but could usually be counted on as a cut above the Parkside diner. Especially, for there well chosen wine list(priced the old fashioned way 100% above retail). They are very much missed by this houshold.

wow. not my recollection at all. two stars for new prospect? from whom? i for one won't miss them because i stopped going there years ago. food was quite good but service was abysmal.

still, sad to see another empty storefront. add that to video edge and soon supposedly moonies and the picture looks pretty bleak.
