Sadly, it's no longer a question of which writers have the best ideas. It's a case of what's the best re-make/overpaid actor/million dollar CGI combination to bring in the most money.

Expect more of the same crap for at least the next decade. Maybe by then people will get bored with the same old shit.

Because remakes are usually crap and just show a lack of imagination on behalf of screenwriters. Mind you, they're all on strike now. Hope a few months of poverty gives them a few decent ideas
