Town Hall meeting on Vision Zero 


Where: Medgar Evers College, Edison O. Jackson Auditorium


           1650 Bedford Avenue (corner of Crown Street)


When: Thursday, March 27,  6-8 PM


Join Council Member Laurie Cumbo, Assembly Member Walter Mosley and the NYC Department of Transportation for a discussion on Vision Zero, the City's new initiative for improving street safety through education and enforcement.  More information about Vision Zero can be found on the NYC DOT website.

    Results: Speed limit on Atlantic Avenue lowered from 30 to 25 mph.

    Soon, there will be lots of ticketing.

    ....about as many tickets could have been issued if the 30 mph limit had been enforced.

    ...but stating you are going to enforce existing laws doesn't generate press like passing new ones.
