Free Tax Preparation Day

Where: Crown Heights Community Mediation Center

             256 Kingston Avenue (between Lincoln and St. Johns Place)

When: Saturday, March 29, 10- 4pm

New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, the Hispanic Internal Revenue Employees and Crown Heights Community Mediation Center present FREE Tax Preparation Day - Federal and NY State Tax Returns prepared by IRS certified volunteers.

The service is available to families (with dependents) earning less than $52,000 and individuals earning less than $20,000. 

You must bring with you:

Photo ID & Social Security/Tax ID cards for everyone being claimed 
W2 and/or 1099 Statements
If claiming child care expenses, bring documentation and care provider Tax ID Number
Last year's income tax return
If you received unemployment insurance in 2013, bring Form 1099-INT
If self-employed, bring a self-declaration letter stating your income in 2013 and receipts/ledger stating your business expenses
Any relevant tax information
