Maybe we can recruit her??

As a native Manhattanite, Jackie Goldstein knew she was lucky when it came to housing ... Ms. Goldstein, 25, who works as the editorial operations manager for the Curbed Network, saved most of her income and was philosophical about not living on her own. “I was benchmarking it by what my other friends were doing,” she said. “If they were still living at home, it was O.K. for me to live at home.”

Crown Heights was another neighborhood that seemed to offer a lot for the money. “So many people that I know live there now,” Ms. Goldstein said. “People have been raving about this mystical Crown Heights.”

    Only if she promises to never describe us as "mystical" again. Sigh.

    well to be fair I think she was saying it a bit tongue-in-cheek...

    Based on her dress, I am not sure she does not say mystical regularly.

    If I saw a lava lamp in the photo, I would be sure.

    Expect to see more positive articles about crown heights, which could be good or bad depending on how theyre written.  Hopefully not in a way that makes it some portlandia magnet.

    I am beginning to conclude that Portlandia represents many age 22 - 32 year olds.

    ....we may need to wait for this phase to pass, rather than hope to avoid it.

    The apartment she ended up in is called The Dearborn, on Montgomery btw Rogers and Nostrand.

    I've also heard that it was a hotel originally and the visiting teams to Ebbets Field wound stay there when playing the Dodgers (according to loooong time residents).   Pretty cool....

    @jacuelicious -
    Um, "you" are Jackie Goldstein of Curbed?

    Yes, many members of the Curbed staff live in Crown Heights, as well as a few of Gothamist's and YIMBY's.

    That is part of why the area receives so much coverage.

    And part of why I/we enjoy scooping you folks. We are not paid and often get it out faster.
