Does anyone know of any groups, etc? The weather is getting colder and I would love to hang out, talk, knit, and meet some new people in the neighborhood.

don't know of any groups but if you find one let me know; i've got needles and cashmere yarn rescued from an old sweater ready to go.

If there is enough interest, maybe we can start our own.

It's been a while since I tried to find a knitting group, and I had one particularly uncomfortable experience once with a real Knitting Nazi ("You're doing it WRONG!" -- one of those) at one group that used to meet at Flying Saucer on Atlantic, but if Yarn Guy ever starts his group at Freddy's back up it would be worth crossing to the other side of Flatbush for. It's the only knitting meetup I've ever been to that was a good mix of men and women, and it was really chill and friendly.

I read that the knitting store is reopening on Union Street and they will be offering classes, groups etc. I also heard they are snotty but this is not at all from first hand experience and just heard second hand.

    Subject: Knitting

You should check out Stitch Therapy over on Lincon Place and 7th. They have a regular knitting circle: www.stitchtherapyparkslope.com/

While I do knit, more recently I've been enjoying needlework, particularly cross-stitch. Are any of you similarly inclined and interested in starting a group and/or know of an already existing one? :D

I'm also in search of some needlework supply stores since most craft type places are geared solely towards knitting. Or atleast the ones I've seen.

    Thanks ~
