What is that noise over Park Slope at 10:20pm?

10:20ish PM, what the hell was that noise over park slope? jets? fireworks? alien attack? After 10 minutes i started getting worried...

Thanks for this. That was starting to weird me out a little last night. It sounded like fireworks, but I couldn't imagine who would set off fireworks to celebrate tax day Tuesday - in near zero visibility no less.

It was apparently a private display for a party on Ellis Island. 
Dont worry about your taxes, even though they never go to pay for fireworks.

We heard what sounded like explosions in Brooklyn, NYC from about 10:15 - 10:20PM.  Then came hail...

"It's a war zone"
Haha, that some tin foil hat stuff right there.

I heard some more of it again just now. That would be just my luck for the world to end on a Friday.

I expect the end of the world to be preceded by a fireworks display, so it could be both.  

Everything precedes the end of the world.
