Lot on the Southeast Corner of Prospect and Franklin to Become...
joshb
...a food truck, serving Dominican food. Per the folks at Rosco's Pizza. The owners of the lot have installed new fencing around the lot, plus plopped in said food truck. Looking good so far. Timeline? Not sure.
Perhaps a DNAInfo reporter will see this thread and do a bit o' digging.

whynot_31edited June 2014Rachel of DNA Info, it is your turn...

whynot_31I didn't have my phone with me today, but lots of work has now been done on the lot around the truck, and the finishing details are being put in place. The food truck may already have a permit, so it may be able to open up without waiting for a kitchen inspection. -

crownheightsterMr. and Baby Crownheighster walked past this place the day we got back from vacation (hi everyone!) and it looked gorgeous and colorful. The whole spot with the painted fence would not be out of place in Austin, TX. I can't wait to try it.

whatchuwantThis place is so colorful and nice- they do a little every day, making it more and more intriguing! Now there's a big picture of a jalapeno - I feared another Mexican place- glad to hear it's Dominican.Hope they have booze. -
chekhovianThere are what appear to be various snow-cone flavors posted on the inside of one of the fences. -
SchmuAnybody know when this is going to open? -
whynot_31Grand opening was today. -
whynot_31edited September 2014Um, where'd the trailer go?
Which one of you stole the trailer before I could even try this place out?
It was open for approximately 2 weeks. -
rogers_sterlingWe noticed that yesterday. What happened? Too bad they missed summer. -
whynot_31No work permits have been filed for a new building:
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/PropertyProfileOverviewServlet?boro=3&houseno=689&street=Franklin+Avenue&go2=+GO+&requestid=0
....yet?
-
rogers_sterlingMaybe they just took it into get serviced. -
whynot_31edited September 2014If it were a truck, that would make sense.
But it is actually a trailer (we have been using the terms interchangeably).
I think trailers are serviced less often. -
ehgeeThe tires were painted, too, which don't really point to them planning on moving the trailer a lot. -
DavinaIt closed already?
I was looking forward to trying it out.
What happened? -
whynot_31This happened.
-
whatchuwantDaver was at Rosco's yesterday evening and it was all the staff could talk about- they have no idea and they were all speculating.I say aliens. -
whynot_31Using wood from the fence on the right of the photo, the left side of the lot and the front is now secure.
The aliens may have also taken the Coke machine. -
whatchuwantDoes no one know what happened here?I can't stand the not knowing! -
