Starting July 7th, the NYPD enforces 25 Mph on EP.

Think the enforcement will be short lived?

I don't. They seem to be enforcing it quite well over on Atlantic. As I said in the other thread, this seems to be DiBlasio's way to end run Albany if they don't lower the speed limit citywide.

Albany signed off on the slow zones, so this is merely a case of Bill not waiting.

Note: it passed the senate and reps yesterday, and I assume Cuomo will sign.

Some mention the Camaro going 80 mph; looking at what remains of the Altima's rear, it may not be such an overstatement.

Given the time of the accident and the speed, I predict intoxicants were involved.

If the driver of the Camaro was going 80MPH (or anything close), the reduction of the speed limit from 30 to 25MPH was likely NOT a concern for him

Both drivers were arrested, one for driving under the influence, the other for driving with a suspended license.

both are lucky to be alive.
