Try Brooklyn FreeCycle or NYC FreeCycle. Someone would snap it up.

Thanks.  I know about those choices but was hoping to donate to a not-for-profit.  May decide to go with FreeCycle later.

    GrowNYC (clothing AND other textiles):
     - Many drop-off locations across Brooklyn, including Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket on Saturdays

Bigger list of other nonprofits (may be mostly just clothing not fabric in general):

    Housing Works (resalable clothing):

Sue Rock Originals used to be on Bergen.  Her shop did sewwing and knitting and weaving and it is a non-profit.  All donations so to help women who are victims of domestic abuse.  She is on Facebook or you can google her.

You might consider contacting a local public school art teacher. They always need supplies.
