It's been a busy six years. Two recent articles about where to shop and eat in Crown Heights showcase 13 places--the oldest of which (Franklin Park) opened six years ago.

While the Washington Avenue shots aren't Crown Heights (that's Prospect Heights), and Classon Ave is debatable, too, the point is well taken. I still recall the not too distant past where Washington Ave, Franklin Ave, and Classon Ave (Classon is still more residential than Franklin and Washington Aves, but its still come a long way) were dumps. Now you cannot recognize them; this is how positive the change has been. There's more foot traffic, jobs in the area, and just a general sense of an up and coming area.

Amazing what trees can do to improve the look and feel of a neighborhood.
