Taco Truck

Today may not be the weather for it, but anyone try that taco truck on Eastern Parkway near Franklin? I was pleasantly surprised to see it when I got off the train on Thursday. Not sure how long it will be there, but I think food trucks are long overdue here. I hope it's a real taco truck, and not a hipster taco truck.

I got a menu when I saw it, since I was also pretty excited. I couldnt help feeling a little bummed out that nothing on it was under $10 though. Overpriced mexican food is like an oxymoron.

By my count, the area supports 12 Mexican places currently.

Who knows, we might be willing and able to support a truck too.

A neighbor tells me that this truck used to be a regular sight in Williamsburg -- as a former W'burger herself, she was very excited to see it here.

I've seen it there during the 9:30-10:00pm window at least twice.

In light of the rents that brick and mortar places are paying, I can understand why they resent the food trucks.

I haven't seen them lately- (well, actually I did briefly. They dropped of one of their guys onto Franklin and took off).

Maybe the cops harassed them away? Sucks because their food was really good. :(

    SO NOT PROSPECT HEIGHTS!
