Taco Truck
rogers_sterling
Today may not be the weather for it, but anyone try that taco truck on Eastern Parkway near Franklin? I was pleasantly surprised to see it when I got off the train on Thursday. Not sure how long it will be there, but I think food trucks are long overdue here. I hope it's a real taco truck, and not a hipster taco truck.

nateasenskyI got a menu when I saw it, since I was also pretty excited. I couldnt help feeling a little bummed out that nothing on it was under $10 though. Overpriced mexican food is like an oxymoron. -
whynot_31By my count, the area supports 12 Mexican places currently.

Who knows, we might be willing and able to support a truck too. -
rogers_sterlingBring it on! I could also go for a halal cart too. -

mishapsA neighbor tells me that this truck used to be a regular sight in Williamsburg -- as a former W'burger herself, she was very excited to see it here. -
rogers_sterlingAnyone observe how late it is open? -
homeownerI've seen it there during the 9:30-10:00pm window at least twice. -
therentstodamnhigh1_We got four tacos and a ton of guacamole n chips for twenty bucks, lots of meat in the tacos the pork carnitas were on point, although the cops came over and el barrio burritos is complaining your in an illegal spot, they said yhere is a legal spot in front of their store we suggest you park there they don't seem to welcome healthy competition, anyway does anyone know where yhey are parking now my boyfriend's dying for that carnitas hes Mexican and a chef n says its legit not hipster.I agree!!! -
whynot_31edited November 2014In light of the rents that brick and mortar places are paying, I can understand why they resent the food trucks. -
whatchuwantedited November 2014I haven't seen them lately- (well, actually I did briefly. They dropped of one of their guys onto Franklin and took off).Maybe the cops harassed them away? Sucks because their food was really good.
