Vegetarian restaurant on Nostrand

An entity named "Vegetarian Choice Restaurant" filed for a kitchen inspection at 804 Nostrand. That storefront (next to Cock's) is already a vegetarian west indian take out counter, so perhaps this is just a change of name... @whynot_31, why do businesses change their name when it means going through all the hassle of being reinspected?

    Existential questions have no answer.

That said, sometimes it means that the ownership has changed.

Or, it may stem from a renovation of their kitchen AND the old owners deciding "let's change our name while we are it".

Hmm, interesting.  I'm always looking for decent vegetarian/vegan options.  I wonder if they deliver over the Franklin.  Anyone ever eat there?

    I have not.

But have you tried Vegetarian Palate on Washington near Dean? They are yummy and deliver to Franklin.

McPoet, Meme's has been my Nostrand Avenue go to for vegan/vegetarian food since it opened. I'm not vegan, but am eating a pretty restricted diet these days and I find I can always get something tasty and filling there. I still miss Imhotep, but Meme's is filling the gap nicely. Unfortunately, I don't think they do delivery yet. You'll have to walk over to get it...

The current establishment is called Long Life Vegetarian. It would be nice if it got an upgrade.

I'll have to check it out.  Vegetarian Palate has long been my go to spot, though I'm trying to eliminate soy from my diet, so their menu isn't as appealing as it once was.  Imhotep's was great.  But nothing can hold a candle to Veggie Castle, which used to be down on Church.  Soooo good.  The Uptown Juice Bar on 125th is similar, but I don't get over there as frequently as I'd like to.
