    Height of star should be around 35'; That is how high the tree is.

    (I just rec'd a notice that this tree lighting has been cancelled to due scheduling conflicts.

    Presumably, they will light the tree when it is convenient to the Parks Dept, but without ceremony and politicians.)

    Ah, how sad. There aren't really any other tree lighting ceremonies that I know. Especially odd there isn't one in Prospect Park or even a tree or that matter.

    It is reportedly back on, but will happen on the 18th
