Donuts for Bergen and Rogers?

"Elsie's donuts" applied for an initial kitchen inspection at 1031 Bergen st, between Rogers and Nostrand 

Here's that storefront via google streetview:

I hope they'll succeed there! Doesn't seem like an area that gets that much foot traffic.

    They might be counting on a lot of B to B.

    ...supplying coffeeshops, etc

    The Philadelphia themed pretzel place seems to have a similar model.

    I would be down for a good ol' fashioned donut shop to compete with our local spate of luxury doughnuts. Not that there's anything wrong with luxury doughnuts, although Doughnut Plant is awful pricey, even compare with Dough.

    if it's good ol' fashioned donut shop look no further than Nostrand Donut Shop down on Nostrand and Church. we got it all, here south of Empire :v

    In my experience, churches are big consumers of donuts.

    There are a lot of churches in that area, and the owner might benefit from advertising to the local clergy.

    My favorite Italian donuts are at Lea on Cortelyou.  SO Good.
