    1. Robert Caro's "The Power Broker" (about Robert Moses)

    2. Came across an interesting Harper's interview with Caro on Moses (2014 was the book's 40tb anniversary; won the general non-fiction Pulitzer in 1974)

    3. "One must wait until the evening / To see how splendid the day has been" - Sophocles

    4. 285 of 1162

Moses was a tyrant who did more permanent damage to NYC than anyone ever has or likely ever will. And the additional things he wanted to do (e.g. turn Ocean Parkway into an 8-lane highway) before he was finally stopped are simply scary to consider.

    I just started reading...

    1. "A Brief History of Seven Killings" by Marlon James.

    2. I read the NYTIMES review and was really intrigued. It is a novel about an attempted assassination of Bob Marley, but it is really about the history of contemporary Jamaica.

    3. "Listen."
