Gien that this will be a "music bar", I think that it is a pretty reasonable assumption that he is the same person as the owner, and there will be live music.

Just out of curiosity....do any of the bars in the neighborhood do buy backs like in the olden days.

In my experience, very few do.

If you are a "liked" regular, such things are occasionally discreetly offered to you so a sense of entitlement is not created.

I've gotten buybacks from time to time at Nostrand Ave Pub and St Gambrinus on Atlantic, and I'm not a "regular".

I think those are correlates.

I usually stick with beer and make sure to tip on each drink, so compared with what I often see in bars, I'm a good tipper. 

Not sure if my dashingly handsome looks have won me any suds.. maybe I should ask the next bartender who throws a freebie my way..

You might become better looking as the night goes on; Many people do.
