I would have to say Little Zelda, followed by Breukelen Coffee. But thats just me. I'm a sucker for that Toby's Estate..

A friend and I tried Breukelen, myself getting a coffee, my friend getting expresso, both of us weren't really feeling it, I would also like to know if any places use La Colombe.

Also have had iffy experience with Breukelen's coffee. Not sure where the beans come from or the roaster, but the coffee is too strong for my taste. I can feel the hair on my chest growing;)

I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I like a really strong cup of light roasted coffee. The lazy ibis coffee I've tried a couple times has always seemed to be darker than I like. It's nice and strong, though!

I got an iced coffee from Lazy Ibis once. It was UN-drinkable. Horrible. I did my usual fixer, which is just more milk and sugar and still....blech.

I made the mistake of actually asking him for something else. The owner was completely offended- he "roasted the beans himself!" I don't care if he curls up with them in bed at night, it was awful!
He wouldn't take it back. Said since I drank from it, it was a done deal.

Won't ever return, which kinda sucks because his sandwiches are pretty good.

I go to Breukelen- but I do notice the different roasts on different days. But, it still tastes good, and it gets me movin'.

Breukelen gets my vote for quality and cost.

Just off Franklin, but Parlor Coffee at Berg'n has been spot on lately.

    Stumptown
Stumptown's most popular coffee is, in fact, named Hairbender.
