IKEA as park-and-ride

Is it reasonably safe (in terms of both crime and impound possibility) to leave the car for 6-7 hours at the IKEA parking lot on a weekend while I take the IKEA Water Taxi to Manhattan?

Just ride your bike.  They have bike racks near the front entrance.

Regrettably, I don't have one, and live pretty far away from the IKEA.

If your bike would be safe then your car probably is too
