Lost cat, 6yo white and gray tortoiseshell

Our cat, Ramona, got out of our apartment on to the roof outside yesterday and we've been trying to track her down ever since. So far I have been able to piece together this much of the story: she climbed the fire escape of a building next door, and a friendly neighbor in the building on the corner of Saint Johns and Franklin brought her in the window. This neighbor was about to leave for out of town so she brought the cat downstairs to the bodega, Ali's on the corner, and asked them to hold on to her in case the owners lived in the building and were looking for her. That's where the trail stops because the guys working at the bodega say they saw the cat there but have no idea where it went after, though lots of people on the street seem to remember the cat being around and possibly someone having her in a box.
