Leave a note on the dash with your phone number.
If you do this already I salute you.
If you will start now after seeing this I applaud you.
If you don't but at least park so people can get out, fine.
If you know about this and still block people in with no phone we will have a problem.

Have a nice day.

How long have you owned a car in CH?

I'm glad to live on a block with a bus route so none of this applies.

Or you can use the old fashioned method: get to know your neighbors, especially the older folks who are on the block all day who can usually point you towards who owns what car and which building they live in.

Why are people double parking? I'm confused.

Opposite side parking for street cleaning. Folks double-park for 90 minutes.

Or failing that just lay on the horn until someone comes and moves the offending car. Cause that always works.

I was told to do this by old timers 40 years ago, when I bought my house on Midwood Street in PLG. It's best to leave your house number too, so the driver you're blocking can just ring your doorbell. Don't assume your neighbors all know your car. With 80+ houses on a block it can be hard to keep track.

Or, you know, just waiting the 90 minutes. Which everybody does. If you need to move your car, you don't really need the spot anyway.

OP wasn't looking for suggestions.  "Or just..." So annoying.

Leave yr frickin' number on the dashboard, it's common courtesy if yr gonna double park.
