Few things allow one to see the contrasts between BP Eric Adams and former BP Marty Markowitz, more than the upcoming Earth Day Event: http://www.phndc.org/content/bike-work-earth-day-borough-president-eric-adams

One man is clearly not the other.

I missed it! However, I wish he would have gone into Manhattan like most commuters but a nice gesture nonetheless.

Hopefully he was wise enough not to arrive at the event in a GM Escalade, and unload his bike.

No word re: Escalade. However, he biked in a suit.

There is one similarity between Marty and Eric: they both spent/spend about 90 % if their time in self promotion.

Next time, you can take Vanderbilt to Flushing to Sands to the Manhattan Bridge to avoid shooting yourself on Smith and Jay.  It's a much better ride.  Just watch out for cops in Clinton Hill and on Flushing Ave, they're not friendly to cyclists.

I prefer Carlton to Flushing, myself. It's quieter, with a bike lane the whole way. Except where Atlantic Yards stole it.
