727 Washington - Western Crown Heights' next micro-building

In case you thought you were imagining that developers are building on every remaining sliver of vacant land in Western Crown Heights these days...that little pie-slice of a lot at 727 Washington Ave (the triangle with the cyclone fence and For Sale By Owner sign between the tattoo parlor and Divine Connection salon) is being excavated for a 4-story cheese wedge with a ground floor commercial space and three floor-through apartments averaging just 625 square feet each.

Looks like the lot just changed hands on May 6th for $700,000, so this developer is wasting no time getting the place started. Can that sliver on Underhill near St John's be far behind?

Looks like a perfectly decent little building, and certainly preferable to the vacant lot. Hopefully the facade uses nice materials.

Their construction fence takes up an awful lot of sidewalk, though.
