whynot_31edited June 2015This was a rarely used lot, that had some seating and a statue of Mary
and Joseph. It looked nice in there. Here is what it looked like...

The smaller trees, as well as the pathway and the altar have been removed.
No permits on file for the sites yet.

hurricanekateShould there be something on file before digging?

I think what has happened so far could be called landscaping.
Someone might correct me, but I don't believe a permit is needed for removing things that aren't structures: Trees. Altars?
@itjbukem is a long time poster and states we are getting a parking lot. Which certainly is a needed amenity for elderly church goers in light of Pacific Park.
Maybe they will at least keep the big trees around the edge of the lot that have so far been spared. -
whynot_31edited July 2016All of the church properties seem to be known as 856 Pacific, and a permit has just been requested for a large "commercial" building: 47700 sq ft.
4 stories
Which makes me think it is either this parking lot, or the vacant one to the right of the church.

whynot_31Additional permit request yesterday, to bring the rectory back to life. The rectory is to the right of the church, and is adjacent to the large vacant lot
I wonder if they are building something that will complement the supportive housing facility they operate across the street.
It appears to serve an over age 55 population.

whynot_31Rachel did some digging, but does not firmly conclude it will be the lot to the right of the church.

Being that they just improved the lot to the left, my money is on this new building going on the lot on the right.
